WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THERAPY?
Therapy begins with an initial assessment focused on understanding your concerns, history, and goals for treatment. Together, we will develop a collaborative and individualized treatment plan. Sessions are structured yet flexible and adjusted based on clinical need.

WHAT IS THE FIRST SESSION LIKE?
The first session includes an intake assessment, discussion of presenting concerns, and goal identification. You may ask questions and determine whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit. No preparation is required prior to the appointment.

CAN THERAPY HELP ME?
Therapy can help with a wide range of things: managing emotional distress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and mental health symptoms. It provides evidence-based strategies to improve coping, insight, and functioning. Client participation inside and outside of sessions is essential for progress.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE CLEAR GOALS?
Clear goals are not required to begin therapy. Goals will be collaboratively developed and refined as treatment progresses. This is a common and appropriate part of the therapeutic process.

WHAT TYPES OF THERAPY DO YOU OFFER?
Services include individual, couples, and intensive couples therapy. Treatment may be short-term or long-term depending on clinical needs and goals. Interventions are tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

HOW OFTEN ARE SESSIONS SCHEDULED?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Frequency may be adjusted to biweekly or as clinically appropriate over time. Scheduling decisions are made collaboratively.

HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
It depends! Currently offering individual session for 55m and couple sessions for 55-90m to allow sufficient time for clinical work.
*Extended sessions may be available by request.

DO YOU OFFER IN-PERSON OR TELEHEALTH SESSIONS?
Services are provided in-person and via HIPAA-compliant telehealth. Clients must be physically located in Alabama at the time of service.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT?
Appointments may be requested via EMAIL. Brief screening questions may be asked prior to scheduling. Appointment availability varies.

WHAT ARE THE FEES & PAYMENT OPTIONS?
55 mins | $90-$120 90 mins | $160
Payment is typically due at the time of service and charged via Stripe. There is a fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per card processing transaction that will be added to each session.

ARE SLIDING SCALE FEES AVAILABLE?
A limited number of sliding-scale openings are available based on financial need. These slots are currently open, and interested clients may request.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
At this time, I do not accept insurance. Services are private pay and may be considered out-of-network for some insurance plans. However, a superbill can be provided upon request for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

WHAT IS A SUPERBILL?
A Superbill is an itemized statement provided for submission to insurance carriers for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by the client’s insurance plan. Submission and follow-up are the client’s responsibility.

IS THERAPY CONFIDENTIAL?
Confidentiality is maintained in accordance with state law and professional ethics. Information is released only with written client authorization. Exceptions include risk of harm to self, others, and mandated reporting requirements.

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Sessions canceled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time will be considered a late cancellation and incur a $60 fee. Additionally, if a session has begun and the client has not arrived within 15 minutes, it will be considered a no-show and a $100 fee will be charged.
